Privacy Policy

Hunt Radius ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile application that provides real-time GPS location sharing, group coordination, and waypoint management for hunters. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
- Account information: when you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may optionally upload a profile photo.
- Location data: when you enable location sharing, we collect your GPS coordinates in real time. Location data is shared only with members of your hunting groups or, if you choose, publicly. When you stop sharing, we stop collecting your location.
- Waypoints and routes: pins, notes, and routes you create are stored so you can access them across sessions and share them with your groups.
- Device information: we may collect basic device data such as device type and operating system version for crash reporting and compatibility.
How we use your information
- To display your location to your hunting group members on the map
- To send proximity alerts when group members are nearby
- To store and display your waypoints and routes
- To manage your account and authenticate your identity
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
Location data
Location sharing is entirely opt-in. You control when your location is shared by toggling the sharing feature on or off. When sharing is off, no location data is collected or transmitted. When sharing is on, your location is visible to members of your active group or, if you enable public sharing, to all users within range.
We do not sell your location data or share it with advertisers.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. We use Firebase Authentication to protect your account credentials. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:
- With your hunting group members, as you choose within the app
- With service providers that help us operate the app (Firebase/Google Cloud)
- If required by law or legal process
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can delete your account at any time through the Account settings in the app, which will remove your profile, location data, and associated information from our servers.
Children's privacy
Hunt Radius is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Update or correct your account information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Disable location sharing at any time
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
